Fossils

This fossil is a replacement fossil. You can tell because it doesn't actually look like a shell because when the soft parts decayed rocks forming minerals replaced the hard parts of it so it looks more like a rock.

This is an example of a trace fossil. You can tell because this isn't a dinosaurs foot, it's an imprint left by it which makes it a trace fossil because it has the shape of it.

Chris Relative dating

Youngest to oldest-
1. Number 3 is the youngest because it is a intrusion of magma
2. Number 2 also seems like an intrusion so it would be the second youngest
3. Number 1 is the 3rd youngest because it is on top of the other layers and because of principle of superposition.
4.Number five is the 2nd oldest because it is an embedded fragment and embedded fragments are older than the rock surrounding them.
5.Lastly the oldest seems like number four because it has rock that is the same type as others but older and it is an embedded rock surrounded by many of the other rocks which means it is older.
